Several nations have 400+ nuclear weapons, and we lose no sleep over them, because they are not run by insane death cultists.

They wouldn't need to convert to Christianity or Judaism. They would need to become civilized, which probably does imply giving up on Islam. Israel is a very secular state, and would accept Hindus, Sikhs, Buddists, Christians, athiests, and pagans. They seem to have an intolerance toward guys who blow themselves up in crowds, though.

Atheists, Pagans, Buddhist, Zoroastrian, Christian - any flavor that doesn't have at its core the concept of killing everyone that won't convert to your belief would be less of a danger that the Bin Ladens, Husseins, and Arafats of the world.

The arabs turned to the west to help develop their resources because it would be too dangerous to educate their own citizens. It was the Arabs who came begging for western assistance. It is the Arabs who exploit their uneducated masses. Islam is the weapon that the Arabs use to keep their population impoverished.
