I wonder just how he intends to attack Israel ? The Patriots will stop his scuds, and air power will destroy his armor long before it reaches Israel...do we have another "mother of all battles coming up"

Without Saudi oil/fuel/runways, I don't think we have the ability to launch the number of sorties that we did during Desert Storm.
And I don't think Russia will help us, either..
Maybe Kuwait....I dunno

Perhaps, "the mother-of-all-battles" beaten and abused by the "father-of-all-warriors".....
Ah, nothing like a disfunctional household....
It's too bad that these Islamics don't have a copy of the true Bible with Old Testement instead of that false P.O.S. Koran (Quoran?), then they could read Daniel, Ezekiel, and the other prophets. Perhaps they would re-think the course of actions? Though, not likely I suppose..

China, who sells weapons to Iraq, is the wildcard. If they get involved, your prediction about WW3 may be true. China is really sweating our Anti-Ballistic missle test that we just succeded at and may see this as a "now or never" sort of thing. However, we are on of China's biggest importers of cheap dollar store crap. Being that they have to trade for food with us, and the fact that their agriculture situation is only going to get worse, IMHO don't think they're gonna get involved yet.

"Without Saudi oil/fuel/runways, I don't think we have the ability to launch the number of sorties that we did during Desert Storm." We don't have to use Saudi bases. We have Turkey to the North, the south end of Iraq is near water so we could use Naval air power.

A senior Iraqi diplomat said Saddam has seven million combatants called the Quds Army. The diplomat said Iraq would "swallow Israel up" if his country is attacked. Where I'm from this is called a 'career limiting move' buddy.

How I yearn for the good old days when Iran and Iraq were at war with each other....(sigh)...a real win win situationHow I miss the good old days from my childhood when the only real fear that I has was the of the Soviets nuking us while I was asleep at night!

What would constitute World War III? Seriously, are there specific requirements that would make this an official World War? No flaming please I would think that this would be a world war if you see fighting or alliances spanning all continents except for Antarctica.
Looks like we're getting there, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, North America. South America is pretty much all that's left to join the fun.

During the gulf war we kept Israel on a leash when Iraq launched scuds at them.
Does Iraq really think this will be the same after the events of this past weekend in Israel?
My bet is that it will be another seven day war. (maybe less)

Let me get this straight: America attacks iraq and in the first few strikes eliminates all of their offensive and a great deal of defensive capability. THEN, and only then, does iraq strike Israel and "swallow it up." Did Joe Conason write this?

Thats the beauty of flattops, moveable airfields almost anywhere in the world!

Um, are we suprised?

Maybe you should aquaint yourself with the fact that the battle (H)ar Mageddon has already occured. Look up the mountain of Meddigo and the battle fought there. Who knows it might open your eyes and realize the bill of goods you've been sold by the Futurist.
Very little of Revelation is prophecy for us, as it wasn't written to us, but to the seven churches of Asia, just prior to the destruction of Jurusalem in 70 AD, as a warning to them. It's all documented in Roman history, by Flavious Josephus. It all fits. The Bible can't contradict itself, you can't have signs of a signless Second Coming. Oh and don't give me the Futurist junk about Revelations being written after AD 70, it won't fly for many reasons the most glaring of which is the instruction to John to measure the dimensions of the Temple, you know the one that was totally destroyed in AD 70, just as described by Christ in Matt. 24. and by Josephus in his history "War of the Jews".
