Lobby to get Federal Firearms License good anywhere in the US.

I prefer no licenses, Federal or state, at all.

Unions negotiate.

The Second Amendment is non-negotiable.

Welcome back Harry.

Here are my Union Cards

Here is my most recent purchase. I haven't even had a chance to fire it yet. Mine is the Stainles Steel slide version though.

I won't clutter up the thread with pictures of the rest of the small collection, but I will tell you that Taurus fits my hand like they made it for my hand. Now if the Trigger didn't feel like I was dragging the tip of a stick through wet sand it would be perfect.

Little sister is holding my .357 revolver for me and then of course there are the usual hunting tools.

The word UNION in the Gun Show Protection Union, is taken from the Federalist Papers of our founding fathers as they spoke of the UNION, not a LABOR UNION! Unless you are speaking to a Democrat and then it will be the largest union in the United States with 20 MILLION members! Ron Dickson is a gun show promoter and a former candidate for the U.S. Senate who ran against the turncoat Mike DeWine in the Republican primary last year. He created "NATIONAL GUN DAY!

Judging from your screen name I assume you're speaking with some authority on this issue. That said, what are the risks of this new union turning out like the NRA? If you hadn't noticed, the NRA has been taking our (freely donated) money for years, only to sell us out at every turn.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the banding together of patriotic Americans in the fight for Second Amendment preservation. This is a good idea. I'm just tired of being sold out by Heston's NRA every time I turn around. It's getting old.

Call me sceptical.

I am a gun show promoter and the only interest the the GSPU has is protecting gun shows , period. All the effort will be for supporting GUN SHOWS, an American pastime. I have a lot at stake in this, I like my job, and I don't want to loose it. Catch my drift!!

There's a thread on this subject over at The Firing Line. It is located here. Maybe you'd like to start your own thread on it. Also, the The 1911 Forum would be an excellent place to post this news.

Regards,
Callahan

Glocktalk.com would be a good place to start a thread as well, if it hasn't been started already. As well, the AR-15 web site.

Union doesn't have to be a bad word. Remember, "We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect UNION..."

I got to add, I know plenty of Union members that are both conservative (if not libertarian) and strong supporters of the second amendment. The Gun show Protection Union needs a web site.

Yes indeed. From the reviews I have read it has what I consider ideal features. Size, capacity and safety. The only comparable sized semi-auto with that capacity (so far as I know)is the Glock, but I have a concern about safety. I understand that the Glock is "partially half cocked" and one is advised to holster it rather than carry it loose in a pocket - to prevent accidental discharge. Also, unlike Glocks and similar pistols - as I'm sure you know - in case of a misfire, one can pull the trigger again. In a way, I prefer a DOA revolver for both safety and quick response in case of misfire, but of course capacity is limited.

"The Gun show Protection Union needs a web site."

That's a fact! Maybe they're setting one up now. Great suggestions, Glocktalk and AR15 forums. There's many more. Sig Sauer and CZ have discussion forums but I don't remember the URLs right offhand.

Gun Show Promoter Runs for U.S. Senate in Ohio Ron Dickson has had it.

Regulations are so bad that he gave up running gun shows in his home state of Ohio.

As it is, he is one of the country's largest gun show promoters with just the shows he runs across the Ohio River in Kentucky.

Now the U.S. Senate, including Ohio Republican Senator Mike DeWine who voted in lockstep with New York Democrat Senator Charles Schumer, has voted on legislation that would put gun shows out of business under the terms of the Lautenberg amendment to the Juvenile Justice Bill.

Dickson is running in the March 7, 2000 Republican primary against DeWine which only leaves five months to go. (12/7/01 - obviously and unfortunately he lost)

The Ronald Richard Dickson for U.S. Senator committee is located at P.O. Box 741, Oxford, OH 45056. The phone number is 1-513-523-3574.

Contact: Ron Dickson, Show Manager, P.O. Box 741, Oxford, OH 45056. Phone: (513)523-3574.
