Presumably, a browser with a bookmark for "freerepublic.com" will find the site, wherever it's located, as soon as the master incices for the internet are updated, which shouldn't take too long (unless everyone who does that chore is away for the holidays).

There was some problem with the DNS entries for FR a few months back. Some people put entries in their hosts file so they could get to FR without DNS. Hopefully they will all remember to change those entries when the new IP address is posted.

Uh-Oh. I think I stumbled into that last time. I have no idea how to correct this. I knew being computer challenged was going to be a problem someday!
I don't even know what DNS is!!!!
