EINDHOVEN - The man arrested last week that was suspected of having aided the murder on Ahmed Shah Masud, will probebly be taken to Belgium on monday or wednesday. The suspect choose for a shortened procedure.
The arrest of the suspect has only been announced last wednesday. Police detained him at the request of the Belgian authorities. The Belgians are investigating the origin of the fake Belgian passports that were used by the two killers of Masud.
The commandant of the Northern Alliance was killed on 9 september by two Moroccans that were pretending to be journalists. Supposedly the Taliban or the terrororganisation of Osama bin Mohammed bin Laden prepared the assassination.
The justice department in Belgium is currently investigating the origin of the fake passports. It is known that the passports were stolen from the Belgian embassy in Den Haag (The Hague) and the Belgian consulate in Straatsburg (Strassbourgh, Luxemburg). In Belgium currently some persons are being detained in connection with the case.
According to the Belgian police, the man arrested in Eindhoven has been involved with supplying the fake passports. The man denies every involvement, according to his lawyer. The identity and nationality of the suspect are still unknown, but he say he is not the man that the Belgian police thinks he is.
Did you notice that among the things Shoe Bomber Reid was carrying on AA Flight 63 was a map of Brussels? And let's see, he got his shoes and/or explosives in Amsterdam. I wonder if there's a connection between the Shoe Bomber and Masud assassination cases.
And I bet there is a whole web of terrororganizations present in the Netherlands, Belgium and France. These three countries have got the largest concentrations of North-African people (as in Moroccan, Algerian and Tunesian). These countries are suffering badly from extremistic muslims.
