Missing--
The killing of (18?) Christians in a Pakistani church by armed Islamic extrmeists.
The persecution of Christians by Communist China.
The persecutionn and murder of Christians and pagans by the government of Sudan.
The fanatical hatred of Jews and Christians expressed daily in the Arab mainstream press.
Apparently persecution and murder of non-Muslims for their religious beliefs is just not newsworthy to religious reporters.

Oh who cares about that when this is a much more important story,
American Muslims, initially fearful of a backlash, find in many instances that the reaction is the opposite, with non-Muslims offering to go shopping with fearful Muslim women and clergy telling congregants to avoid stereotyping. < /sarcasm>

Religion writers list their top ten stories
What about the missionary couple from Kansas who were taken hostage in the Phillipines
by the Abu Sayeff (sp?), the Muslim terrorist group trained by Al-Quida.
Their story (and that of other hostages taken by the Abu Sayeff group) were well detailed
on Dateline NBC a couple of months ago.
Incredible...when a Christian missionary couple gets held hostage (in miserable conditions)
by Muslim nutjobs the secular press notices..."religion writers" snore.
