Crowe's good friend and classmate at the Naval Academy was Jackson T. Stephens, principal owner of the Arkansas investment firm, Stephens & Co., and, many say, the power behind Clinton's political career.

There was some other imbroglio involving Crowe a few years back, but I can't quite remember what it was. As I recall, something Crowe wrote came back to bite him. I will do some research and see if I can find it.
