The 'religious right' is a media creation to begin with. So called Christian Conservatives vote about 60-40 GOP and Dems with occasional spikes and low here and there, including a very poor 58-42 showing in the '98 elections after a legislative session ('97-'98) mostly focused on alleged 'Religious Right' issues.
