For the record, joebuck & Roebucks are no relation. LOL.

I use WinMX as most of my current needs are musical. But, I'll keep Morpheus in mind. Thanks.

This is a bit off the subject, but I'm going to get a cable modem installed in a few days. Since I'll always be online, I'm concerned about security. Right now my computer has Zone Alarm and Norton AV 2001 installed. Is that enough for security, or is there something else I should install?

Do you have a registry editor on your PC? If not, they are easily attained as either shareware or freeware. I'd recommend you doublechecking your registry for any value with "valueclick" in it and deleting them all. Ad aware is supposed to do it and catches them most of the time. Still, better safe than sorry.

A registry editor is also good for speeding up your computer by deleting anything from programs you used to, but no longer have installed. Do the same kind of registry search for them as for "valueclick".

If interested, I can find a free program and link it here.

One word of caution!!! DO NOT delete anything from your registry unless you are sure....

I swear to you I actually knew a guy in college whose girlfriend asked him to "double wrap" and he did it. And then admitted it. The hell we gave that poor guy........

I would also recommend (including the software we posted) a hardware firewall such as a Netgear FR314 Firewall router. I am running one of those with my cable modem and it works great.

Thanks for posting this and to all who provided good follow-up info and links.

I down loaded the outfit with all the "A's" in it... decideded almost immediately I didn't like it and uninstalled! Norton immediately found a trojan and couldn't fix it, but quaranteened it. It corrupted my explorer.exe file.

Not being too swift on removing and restoring said file, I used Norton's link to symantec.com to get help at a cost of $11.95. I allowed their sub-contracting tech to come in and do it for me. She removed it from my registry while I watched. I was amazed and impressed.
