..."Placing Eisenberg's name into nomination was Mississippi Republican
Michael Retzer, who says the Party needs liberals like Eisenberg to raise money. And he says the concern of conservatives over Eisenberg's liberal leanings are misplaced because the proper role for Party liberals is to raise money to support the goals of conservatives. He calls that part of the GOP's "big tent" philosophy"....
This guy is sure a piss poor sound-a-like for a paul Begala, Lanny Davis, or John Podesta--frankly, his spinning is nothing short of 'sucks'.
It seems like the conservative element of the Republican party is like the abused wife....keeps going back for more and more abuse--after all, where's she gonna go, what's she gonna do?

Evertz job involves finding ways to reduce AIDS transmissions. His ideas on the topic are the only ideas that are relevant in regard to his position in the Bush Administration.

Mississippi Republican Clark Reed probably kept Ronald Reagan from securinring the nomination for President against Ford in 1976. Looks like the same crowd is still in charge in Mississippi!

With this guy in charge of the donors and $$$$, your friend, Schundler, would have a better chance in Hell than in the GOP!

His ideas on the topic are the only ideas that are relevant in regard to his position in the Bush Administration I understand that full well. But he is pro-life. I guess to many on this thread he is more qualified than Eisenberg for the job.

You have hit on an excellent way to 'hit' them to get their attention. Use THEIR resources to send YOUR message. I've been doing that for quite some time now. I have been out of the GOP for quite some time now, yet they are constantly assuring me that "I am needed to beat up the mean ol' Democrats, and if I'll jut send my #_______". Or they really need my input to their answers to what's wrong with society--even though the answers provided are none I'd pick. So, whenever they send those self-addressed, stamped envelopes, I use a red marker and write my message to them all over their literature and return it to them.
I just had a friend tell me that another thing she does is to send them junk mail she receives from some place else....for instance...she will dark out her name on one of those credit card letters that say 'you've been pre approved'...and sticks it and all the brochures that came with it in the envelope to the political party. She said she's even send ads for local stores and coupons in.
I rather like that idea, too....long as they're paying for it, I'll oblige them.

Because conservatives and Christians refuse to draw the line and refuse to accept candidates and parties that betray and sell them out. They can't. If they do, then they are told that they are the ones 'losing' the election to the Democrats.
Party loyal Republicans are a sad lot. They MUST vote for whomever the Party chooses in the name of Party Unity. They must. They are not allowed to vote otherwise or THEY are the ones giving away the elections.
The Party owns the votes. Or at least they act as if they do. The Party EXPECTS the voters to toe the line and gets nasty when they don't.
If you want to dispute this, go back and see that I've said this over and over and over.
The Republican Party will NEVER improve as long as the voters continue to stay faithful to their Party's betrayals.

..."To an extendt the ends do justify the means. If we don't fight to win, do you think that partial birth abortion is going to go away?"...
Dan.....this is almost laughable. Here you have a guy that is obviously pro-death whose purpose is to raise funds for the GOP. He's known as a LIBERAL and has contribted to LIBERALS....and yet he's expected to raise funds for 'conservatives'?
About that 'fight' on PBA.....don't you have to have a leader who is against it? If you answer yes, then please explain how it is that the current GOP leader believes in giving campaign funds to pro-death candidates WHO BELIEVE IN PBA! Hint: Henry Hyde and Dan Quayle agree with Bush that campaign funds should be used to fund pro-PBA CANDIDATES!!
Contact The_Eaglet, or search the Lambert Resolution.
This fact alone should scare the bejiggers out of anyone who wants a PBA ban.

Why does it matter whether a soldier or a fire-fighter is pro-life or pro-abortion? They are in no position where that issue comes into play. On the otehr hand, Eisenberg will be raising money from fellow liberals and pro-abortionists, who will likely want to see the party change its position if they want to donate. That only makes sense from a rational point of view. Why will I willingly donate to my enemies, unless of course the enemy changes its position on key issues. Why is it so hard to comprehend?

Well then lets just let the Hilary Clinton gang win all of the elections. I know its a bad dillema but you have to pick the person closest to your position who also has a chance to win. Otherwise you are just screwing yourself.
