Part of the Clinton legacy can be seen in how many who post on Freerepublic are inured to porn - maybe addicts themselves - and who take issue with posts that express alarm about having porn all over the Internet, where it's easily accessible to kids -- (and addictive to adults, playing a factor in broken marriages and personal perversion). Bush and Ashcroft should make a move against pervasive porn, because the debilitating effect it has on people's character and morals only helps create more Democrats and turns the culture more and more against the sturdy values (self reliance, self control, accountability) that the GOP has always been about. It's no surprise that the Dems, the party of slavery in the 19th centruy and of segregation in the 20th, are the party of porn in the 21st. The GOP can't afford to wimp out.
