This is an email solicitation going about that came to my attention. The fact that this service is promoting alternate attainment of IDs and the email return address of DirectorOfOperations@nilepower.net (Egyptian?)raises some concern.

It may be nothing more than vanity drivers licenses issued for fun or a scam, but I did recall reading that vanity passports issued by The Conch Republic from the Florida Keys had gained the interest of suspected al-Qaeda.

If the lack of history and geographic knowledge among Americans, that is routinely made fun of by Jay Leno is true then I can see how these documents can be used to slip people into the States.

I could be paranoid, so I am putting this as a vanity for FreeRepublic members to discuss.

I've been getting international drivers licenses for the past 20 years through the AAA. It only costs $10 and is good for a year !

A Google search reveals that Nile Power a/k/a www.nilepower.net is the website of a company called White Nile Batteries Co. Ltd. Something smells fishy here, IMO.
