SAN JOSE -- Round two. Better punches. Another draw. An overflow crowd of the Republican faithful -- who are attending the party's annual state convention -- gathered Saturday in the Fairmont Hotel here, as California's three top GOP gubernatorial hopefuls tangled in the second of three debates heading up to the March 5 primary.

Riordan blasted by GOP rivals (Sac Bee article)

(SNIP)

"I noticed that people had 'Riordan in November' buttons on today -- RINO buttons," Riordan said at one point, drawing laughter from the audience. It was a humorous reference to the RINO movement at the convention -- "Republican in name only" -- targeted at Riordan, including an anti-Riordan activist dressed as a rhinoceros roaming the hallways.

"Riordan's $300,000 loan to then-Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley"

Before becoming mayor, Bradley was an L.A. Police leutenant that was caught taking bribes and absconding with the station funds and was given the choice of resigning or going to prison (bad mistake making him the offer).

He was the featured speaker at a communist party rally at Long Beach State College after that and before becoming mayor.

Riordan's even associating with such scum makes him unfit to be governor or hold any office in the U.S..

Bill Simon for governor.
