Those two adult bastards in the picture are celebrating Elian's return to slavery. Had Elian not been dragged back to Cuba, they never would have given him that award.

The Freedom Forum, a nonpartisan foundation dedicated to free press and free speech, presents the award annually along with $1 million. In Elian's case, the money could not be awarded because of the 40-year-old U.S. trade embargo against Cuba. Instead, it will go to help help needy refugee children living in the United States, Neuharth said.

Why can't Elian come over here and pick up his $1 million?

On second thought, Elian isn't FREE to do that, is he?

The picture that should have been on the poster is the one of Elian being snatched at gunpoint.

I'm just speechless about this.

This is insane....how came one give a 'Freedom Award' to a child who was taken from Free America to be returned Castro's Cuban Slavery?

Who are these people who gave this bogus award? Outrageous....indeed!

I am nearly speechless at this article. If I didn't know you so well, I would accuse you of making it up. But the fact is that nobody could make up a story so bizarre. My first thought was Rod Serling was alive and directing another Twilight Zone.

In the 48 years that I have been on the planet, I can't recall anything that is more weird than this award.

Thanks for the flag.
