I work here in Melbourne. The radio just broke in on Rush with an update. They said the bomb squad is on the scene and they think a device may have set off the car.
This was the first I had heard of this. Figures I come right to FR and there it is in Breaking News, you guys are great.
If I hear anything else on the radio I will post an update.

The only reason the networks got on the air so fast with Sept. 11 is that it happened in a highly visible area of NYC. We won't hear about this car bomb on the networks until several hours from now....

MELBOURNE, Fla. - U.S. 1 is closed in both directions early this afternoon after an explosion at Christmas Auto Sales.
Some units of Mobiland-by-the-Sea trailer park have been evacuated. The park is a few miles south of the Pineda Causeway north of Melbourne.
No injuries have been reported in the 12:15 p.m. blast.
Melbourne police said the explosion occurred inside a unoccupied car at the lot.
Brevard County Fire Rescue has evacuated 15 to 20 units so far at the trailer park.
District chief Mark Francesconi said evacuations may reach up to 100 to 150 units.
"We want to get them out because in this case there may be some secondary device," he said.
Brevard officials are in the process of enacting the reverse 911 system, in which residents of l homes within 2,000 feet of explosion site will be contacted.
The Brevard County bomb squad has arrived on scene and is in the process of searching to see if other explosive devices are in the area. A sheriff's helicopter is in the air above the scene.
Traffic on U.S. 1 is being detoured on Coquina Ridge Drive to the north and Post Road to the south.

This used to happen a lot in St. Louis. It was a (Syrian) mob thing.
