"Clearly, we've got to find Mahammed Omar, we've got to find Osama Bin Laden and we've got to find the other key leaders of the Al-Qaeda network, or we have failed." _________________________________________________________
Now ain't that just a kick in the teeth of every man woman and child that has died (military included) and those that will be killed since 9/11.
Daschle (the Troll) keeps saying "we", I would like to know just how hard that ********** censored, is looking himself? I wish he were dropped on the frontines somewhere with a "media pass".

The reference to the vote on the floor was relative to the Pickering nomination, however the larger question remains. How much longer will Bush tolerate the lies and obstruction and when will the Republican leadership relize the true nature of the Democrat beast?

I still think we should relocate the federal government to Bismarck, ND.
Who would want to stay on longer than one term?

I think in the interest of "National Security" we should lock them all in an underground bunker till the danger is past..

I was thinking the same thing. God forbid if another terrorist attack would occur.
Even our casualty on the battlefield today is a reminder that our nation needs to be united behind our troops.

The Dems are treading on some mighty thin ice. Making this statements will come back to haunt them BIG TIME if another attack happens.
NAH
Public won't even remember
And the left wing media won't remind them

Whats going on? Is this the beginning of another Vietnam? Or are the Democrats toying with throwing themselves off a political cliff? So far, the latter scenario seems the most likely. In 1972 when the Vietnam was unpopular, Nixon carried 49 states (I seem to recall). Remember the Silent Majority? That should dispense with the idea, that an unpopular Vietnam War was the undoing of Republicans.
I hope the dems keep up, with more of them bitching about the war against terrorists. And then I hope the American voting public elects a majority for both House and Senate, next November.

Actually a nuclear bomb going off in LA would not be a bad thing as long as Knotts Berry Farm and Disneyland are not damaged. The rest of the place can glow in the dark for all I care. With any luck Waters will be at ground zero.

Actually I think to politically villify the Democratic urge to review the Governments War efforts would be quite stupid'FreepReaper member since March 2nd, 2002' Seeing your seniority, your screen name, and your positions, I guess I have only a short time to wish you a quick departure from this forum.

Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia. If we expect to kill every terrorist in the world, thats going to keep us going beyond doomsday, he went on. How long can we afford this? We went (to Afghanistan) to hunt down the terrorists. We dont know where Osama Bin Laden is nor whether he is alive or not. We dont know where Mullah Omar is hiding . . . When will we know we have achieved victory?Really Senator Byrd? What exactly is the dollar value of American lives? At what point do we say it costs too much and just allow the terrorist to kill us?
To: Pokey78
I think the Democrats are right. We cannot have victory until Omar and Osama are caught.
Since the burden so far has been on the executive branch, I propose we send Daschle & Company on a mission to Afghanistan, and they can't come back until they've caught Omar and Osama.
Hey Tom, if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself!

Success is keeping terrorism at bay while dismantling their organization and places of safe haven long term.

Funny it never bothered him when Clinton went into Kosovo. Exactly. And last I heard, we're still there. You heard him complain about that lately?

As long as the administration keeps its nerve, and as long as military competence continues, the Democrats could be handing Bush a political gift of massive proportions. As usual, Andrew is right on the money. The Bush people are very, very smart. I hope they have the nerve to not only win outright the "war on terrorism" but also the nerve to bury the Scumocrat left. I mean go for the throat.

Asking for exit strategy in this situation proves that Byrd, Hollings, and a number of other democrats have lost their minds or are hoping we've all lost OUR minds.
To: OldFriend
I think they think we can't remember anything past the last commercial on TV.
