Yah! It makes sense that the RV would have been at the residence that night. We do need to get this nailed down though. It would change a few theories if for some unknown reason, it was not.

I read a post the other night where the poster said that David Westerfield routinely loaded up his motor home every Friday night to go away on the weekends. He may have stored it at his business during the week and brought it to his house on Friday.That poster was insinuating that because of the routine, someone (VD) could have put Danielle's body in the motor home.

WESTERFIELD ISOLATED IN PRISON AFTER DEATH THREATS FROM INMATES

( 03-03-2002 ) - David Westerfield, the neighbor of the van Dam family who is charged with Danielle van Dam's kidnap and murder, has been isolated in jail after receiving threats.

Inmates reportedly screamed obscenities at Westerfield and said that they wanted to kill him.

He is now being held alone in a cell away from the other inmates at the downtown jail. He also eats, showers and exercises alone.

Last week Westerfield was arrested and later pleaded not guilty to the charges of kidnapping, murder and possession of child pornography.

The body of seven-year-old Danielle van Dam was found Wednesday afternoon in the Dehesa area near the Sycuan Casino. She had been reported missing from her Sabre Springs home on the morning of February 2.

I don't know that I would place a lot of weight on the attorney being against release. The perp's attorney is ALWAYS against this in virtually every trial. We may find that much of this is just standard operating procedure.

What if defense can prove that DW has been in and around the house on prior occasions? Doesn't that reduce the significance of any DNA or evidence found?

That's what I heard. They did this little lead-in to throw listeners off first. They said something like, "LEO found child pornography in DW's home and also gay porn was found (brief pause) in the van Dam home."

I don't know their source or the degree of credibility, but that's what they said.

Well, their source was the National Enquirer. Or some such reputable paper.

Please tell me that the VDs did NOT go out for dinner on the night that Danielle's body was found. That would be too unbelievable for me!

That was debunked early on. The day Danielle's body was found a neighbor came over to take the two sons out to dinner to get them out of the house. A photo was taken of the two boys going out to dinner. The VD parents stayed at home.

Unfortunately, thanks to our dear friends in the LAPD, the term framing has almost become synonymous with bad cops.

The framing I am referring to is the type where the perpetrator actually "throws off" the investigation by framing a culpable, but unsuspecting victim.

The case of Joseph Salvati illustrates both types of framing nicely.

Salvati did 30 years in the can after Joseph "The Animal" Barboza framed him for murder because of an overdue loan shark payment. That's the second type of framing (by the perp or his buddies).

Now, the frame up worked because a certain fascist pig who headed a racketeer influenced corrupt organization and whose name graces a building in DC suppressed evidence in order to protect a useful informant. That's the first type of framing (by bad cops).

Hopefully, the SDPD has higher ethics than their federal colleagues did, so that, in the DVD case, we will only have to worry about type two framing. That said, this case is likely to be a frustrating experience. Mr Feldman may succeed in making the case that there is reasonable doubt as to whether his client is being framed, while at the same time, there may be insufficient evidence to convict the framer(s).
