LOL....I think Alec hit his peak when he did that impression of Charles Nelson Reilly on Saturday Night Live. But, his career now is really not going anywhere. He should call a press conference to apologize for that terrible remark he made about Mr. Hyde, and then go vanish in law school for a few years. After that, who knows...

But what Alec does now seems a waste of time because much of what People for the American Way want political leaders to do -- increase for blacks (1)the availability of PSATs and (2) AP classes -- are things Gov. Bush DID do under One Florida. But Alec would probably never admit that! He should thank Gov. Bush for doing so many good things for ALL people in this state, including blacks. And, if wants to keep yakking in FL, buy a house here and pay property taxes too!

Taxes are for the "little people" dontcha know, not highly refined, sensitive intellectuals like Alec Baldwin!

Actually, I think he still owns property in NY -- out on the east end of Long Island. And, his neighbors don't like to hear from him either, from what I read! Poor Alec...

Do you think Gov. Bush's campaign web site is being too tough on poor Alec here??

One cannot be too tough on Alec "Mr. Conductor" Baldwin.

This is great, but Jeb should make no more references to Baldwin after this. Jeb is the governor and brother of the president, Baldwin is a celebrity who couldn't hold onto a great looking wife. He is nobody worth being concerned with. (Of course that is true of Janet Reno and the other Dems also.)

Unfortunately, a lot of Americans get their political views from stars, Letterman, Leno, etc. They do have a big impact and probably should be dealt with just like you would a regular elected Dem. The media is more powerful than the government.

I think the people respect and appreciate a politician that doesn't just let idiotic statements go by; they are glad to see Jeb "swat the mosquito." Also it shows that he's got a sense of humor by teasing AB about it. Showing a sense of humor AND getting to bust an enemy's chops at the same time is fun and politically smart too.

Mr. Conductor has lost his sparkle.

Mr. Conductor has lost his clout at the box office.

Mr. Conductor has lost his place in the script.

Do you think this comment on Gov. Bush's web site -- "mildly talented" Hollywood actor -- is going to hurt anyone's feelings? :)

At least they didn't threaten to stone his family to death. Scumbag Baldwin should've got a SS visit for that. Or whoever it is that protects Congressmen.

Good post summer. How anyone would argue against guaranteed college admission for the highest achievers is beyond my comprehension.IMHO the admission standards should be high, and perhaps then a college education will come to really mean something again.

For a long time, higher education has degenerated to just a business, churning diplomas to those willing to pay money for a degree, not neccessarily an advanced education.

I am perhaps jaded by the 70s.I will continue to enjoy watching Jeb succeed at bringing some form of standards back to education in Florida. In a few more years, and with students who are truly interested in advancing their education instead of extending their childhood, the campus environment may turn out finely tuned minds, as opposed to square fillers.

And we can all stop laughing at pretentious, immature, shallow opinions from the " highly educated".Of course, some of the professors are not going to appreciate the challenge to their intellectual superiority, but it will be fun to watch! LOL.
