You can blame the Cal teachers union and the stupid voters of the state that fell for their initiative a couple years ago. Another dumb vote was to lower the votes on bond issues from 2/3 to 55%. Eureka just passed a 42 million dollar bond to "repair the schools". Look out, this is coming to a town near you and your property taxes are headed up thanks again to the CTA.
