Berlusconi told the refugees to get lost. Unlike our (dare I say it) traitor in the WH. Bush wants to make it easier for illegals to come into our country? *Sigh*. We're doomed. Doomed. Doomed. I don't even know what to do. He's out of control. Maybe he should be recalled.

Upon arrival in Monterrey for a U.N. conference on financing for development, the president held a trilateral meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien and Mexican President Vicente Fox, whom he had hoped to greet with a new amnesty measure for illegal immigrants.

Senate Democrats yesterday scuttled that plan by postponing action on competing border-security bills, one of which allows immigrants with outdated visas to remain here while their residency applications are being processed.

Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, South Dakota Democrat, said yesterday that he will not raise the issue until after the Easter recess, which ends April 8.

Score one for the Democrats. I'm sure his motives are foul, but I'll take Daschle's postponement for now.

I'm quite pleased that President Bush wasn't able to pin his Amnesty corsage on Vicente Fox in Monterey.

Bush should agree to excise his Trojan Horsed Amnesty from the Homeland Defense bill, and propose it out in the open for all of Amnerica to see.

Yes, Bush says the border is a semi-permeable membrane. Only mexicans can flow north. Non-mexicans are unable to penetrate the border in the opposite direction.

I once heard a really inexpensive and effective means to improve border security:

For every illegal alien apprehended we simply give them a job... take them down to the border and hand them cinder blocks and cement and tools, everything they need so that they can help build a really nice wall. Pay 'em too. Why, when they're done, they'll be well off enough (and buffed to boot) to go home, live well, buy weapons, and dump their crooked government.

As for all the Salvadoreans and Guatemalans etc, just give 'em the weapons and ship them home, er, maybe do that in reverse order. Hmmm... I think that plan needs a little work.

That seals it. All those that thought the the great and mighty "dubya" was against the mexican invasion should read this. There can be no doubt left in their minds.

President Bush yesterday requested new funding to make it easier for immigrants and day workers to cross Mexico's 1,951-mile border into the United States, while insisting that border modernization will hamper the drug trade and prevent entry of violent criminals.

Mr Bush, would it be too much to explain how this nonsensical proposal would work? And, by the way, why do we have to pony up $ for this idiocy?

Mr. Bush, who wants to grant amnesty to hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens from Mexico

Son, that's also a real bad idea.

"This is a dangerous world," Mr. Bush said. "Too many people are losing their lives to murderers."

ROTFL.
