Davis trails Simon (as he has in all other post-primary polling that has been conducted) by over six percentage points. Simon attracted the support of 44% of voters in the Probolsky poll...The poll shows Davis' strategy has utterly failed.

Simon's six point lead in the face of being out-fundraised by twice as much by Davis is VERY ENCOURAGING! However, he needs to trump up these polls, demonstrate he is a serious candidate and use the momentum to equal Davis's massive fundraising efforts using a nationwide fundraising campaign if he wants to win this thing in November. If he does, it will be the greatest GOP victory of 2002 unless the GOP retakes the Senate 51-50 by a whisker.
