Rice is being kept in the White House because she is being groomed for the Vice Presidency now, and the Presidency later, as Bush's designated successor. Of this I am sure.

I am confident that Simon is in the race against Gray Davis to WIN, not to "set himself up" to run for Senate. I don't think that a man like Bill Simon would run to lose ... he is definitely running to win.
