We all know Vouchers are EVIL.. We should all take "Don't Mess with the System 101" and get in lock step with the rest of California as we march off the cliffs of Big Sur into the sea. (That's not illegal , is it ;-?)

It's the illegal immigration; it's wrecked California's educational system. Their liberalism has finished off the rest.

Having the state or (God forbid) the federal government pay for private schools in CA will NOT solve the problem for middle-class parents. First off, voucher programs are going to be means-tested for a long, long time - which means that middle-class parents are going to be *triply* instead of "doubly" taxed. Not only will they pay their private school tuitions; they will pay for BOTH public schools AND voucher programs.

Second, what makes anyone think that given how liberal a state CA is, that private schools would somehow miraculously escape all kinds of regulations, including pro-homosexual sex ed, etc.?
