Sorry, Northern California FReepers.
My public messages posted here seem to have ruined an EXCELLENT FReep opportunity. :(
We need to be SMARTER next time...

Monday afternoon, Davis called a co-sponsor of the TechNet event, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings, and asked him if they could postpone the event because he is pressed for time. Hastings said he asked Davis if his decision was at all related to the latest controversy and the governor said no. Hastings also dismissed suggestions that Davis makes policy decisions based on who gives him money.
``The governor has been unafraid to take on core constituencies that typically contribute a lot of money if he felt like that wasn't the right policy,'' said Hastings, whom Davis appointed to the state school board.
I had no idea Hastings was in bed with Davis... I am dissapointed. Netflix and Hastings are based in my town. Too bad I have to cancel my Netflix account.

Bummer! Made my signs last night and was planning to be there ...
Let's all keep our eyes peeled for "some date in October" although I suspect these guys now are just going to send in their bucks to the Davis campaign and hope for a payoff after the election.

I ate at Spago Palo Alto (although not with Gray Davis) back in the Internet heyday. One of the best meals I ever had.

It's working - maybe you are sorry that a freep opportunity has evaporated -- but gee whiz,, FR has credibility in this campaign,, and Davis lost out on some more bucks. Boo hoo. If the Gov is afraid to show up in person, here in a liberal state, to dine/coffee/etc., in front of his 'safe' constituants - it speaks louder than those lame TV spots.
See you (ya Whore - ha) Monday at the Nixon!
How do we know when FR has real credibility in this race? When we feel the attacts. Bring it on, baby!

We should be smarter about who we support with our cash as well..... Mr. Hastings, CEO of Netflix was in on one of the Davis fundraisers....back to Blockbuster for me.
