Gray has been under a lot of pressure lately to defend against allegations of illegal fundraising practices. In the past, similar pressures put on the guv have caused him to explode in fits of rage.
...Davis is an unstable and violent man who has physically attacked a number of his employees over the years, throwing ashtrays and telephones, and shoving a long-time executive secretary so hard that the 62-year-old woman suffered a stress breakdown and was protected from the state from ever having to work in the same room with Davis again."(New Times Los Angeles, May 21, 1998)
The guvs volatile nature is legendary in certain circles. Last year the Sacramento Bee reported on a private meeting between Gray and Senate Republicans where he revealed his true colors.
A frustrated Gov. Gray Davis reportedly lost his temper Tuesday in a closed-door meeting with Senate Republicans, delivering what one lawmaker called a symphony of obscenities
. (Sacramento Bee, April 18, 2001)
A month later, Gray regressed into a temper tantrum over an article he found unfavorable, which sent him screaming down the street after a reporter.
Presumably, Governor Gray Davis was under a great deal of stress when he lost his cool in public on his way to a recent fund-raiser near the Capitol
Spotting a Los Angeles Times reporter, Davis called out that his story in that days paper was a fing piece of bulls--t. He then got right in the reporters face, still cussing up a streak as blue as the hue of his favorite dress-shirt. (California Journal, May 2001)
For three years the guv has experienced meltdowns that would prompt a lesser man to take anger management courses. In fact Grays difficulty controlling his anger is so obvious that an editorial in the San Francisco Chronicle was titled, The Angry Governor.
And, yes, the governor was so angry about a one-page Chronicle story about his campaign contributions from industries with business pending at the state Capitol that his precise words would not be suitable for a family newspaper (Editorial, San Francisco Chronicle, July 21, 1999)
Sometimes his meltdowns cause him to blurt out absurdities that would be laughable, were they not coming from the governor of the fifth oops, make that sixth largest economy in the world.
But he balked at suggestions he release his appointment calendar
Why dont you go to bed with me? Davis asked when disclosing the calendar was suggested. Why dont you move in? Youre not going to get it. Forget it. (Sacramento Bee, September 20, 2002)
Gray, before you unleash your inner angst on another reporter or your staff, take a deep breath and find your quiet place (hint: its not at a fund-raiser).

I don't understand why video tape of these incidents has not reached the public airwaves. I know Simon wouldn't do it but people should know their governor is insane.

They forgot Davis' "I kept your f*ing lights on" comment.

Amazing how this man keeps getting elected.

It's easy to get and keep public office if the media is in your pocket. Oh, sure, they'll write the occasional negative article to maintain the appearance of impartiality, but that doesn't matter because those articles are buried in a blizzard of puff pieces and leftist commentary. The editorial pages will bleat that the Democratic candidate is too Menshavik or Bolshevik for their tastes, but the Republican candidate is evil incarnate. This is how vermin like Davis get and keep office, and why it is so very hard for non-Marxists to get into public office nowadays.

Only 39 days until we get to eject the Dimwit and then he can go have all the tantrums he likes!

Gray-out Davis, capable of an emotion as strong as anger? Does he have a problem with impulse control? Or is he much more like the "Former Occupant of the Oval Office, 1993-2001" than has been described in the past?
Just another Democrat sociopath that managed to conceal a dark side on the way up. Is this defect a requirement to gain position within the Democrats?

Again - liberalism is not a political choice but rather a mental disorder.

Remember the pubbies throwing out the insurance commissioner a few yrs back for doing 30% of what gov Dufus has done. Where did that get them. NOWHERE. Now what we need from a pubbie running for office is to stick it in the faces of all libs & distractors. So what do we get to run against him but this spinless Simon who can't & won't stand up against ILLEGALS. A piece of political correctness who is nothing but roadkill. Davis the worst governor in America & this idiot Simon can't find his butt if it weren't fastened. Now don't think that this country isn't compromised with this lousy two-party system.

Having been here since 1998, I do keep up on things, and do not feel the necessity to explain myself to you.

Then don't jump in the fight! If you are going to criticize our elections be prepared to defend your inane remarks. We didn't ask your opinion of our elections and we sure as hell don't need any advice from oh Canada
