"The question is, will those that have followed Simon down that well worn road to defeat learn anything from the loss or are they doomed to repeat their mistakes for generations yet to come."

Lemme see if I have this:

1. Conservatives should abandon someone in a primary that is more in line with their view, in favor of someone that can win.

2. They can then rejoice in the fact that, although they've helped elect a liberal (maybe someone even more liberal that the democreep), by gosh he's got that "R" after his name so he's a-ok.

We did exactly that in NY - in '94 when Pataki first ran.
And taxes have continued to rise . . .
And companies have continued to flee the state . . .
And freedoms have continued to erode away . . .

And conservatives benefitted . . . how?

And the conservatives benefited, how?

I took the following from a Democrats post at a Democratic site. For the following reasons they think an elected RINO is better for Republicans than a defeated Conservative. I think in this case the Democrat is right and makes my case.

Sorry, but this line about Bloomberg really being a Democrat is just plain wrong. He's gone over to the dark side. He may still hold liberal positions on many issues, but he's become an "enabler" of Republicans -- including conservative Republicans like President Bush. And the money he used to give to Democrats is now going to Republicans. In my book, anyone who calls themselves a Republican, seeks a Republican nomination, campaigns as a Republican, and subsequently raises money for Republicans is . . . a Republican.

Now to the tator's positions.

My opposition to Simon is he is a man who goes into buisness with a convicted felon. I don't vote for people in bed with felons. His denials are no more believable than Clintons. I would not vote for a man who had been in business with convicted drug kingpin. And the excuse that Simon was ignorant of the facts is even worse. If he put a bank robber in as bank inspector would "I didn't know he was a felon" hack it with you? Betcha it would if he called himself a conservative.

Simon told the homosexuals he was for a Homosexual holliday. He told others he would not support the homosexual agenda. I don't support men who talk out of both sides of their mouth.

Simon accused Davis of a crime ehen he had zero evidence to prove it. Lying about an enemy is not permitted in my book. Lying politicians will be condemed by me. I don't care which party they belong to.

The worst way to achieve honesty in goverment is to elect a liar because he says he is conservative.

Simon has a history in this campaign of telling lies and when caught making excuses Bill Clinton could not tell with a straight face.

What is the Difference Between Bill Clinton and Bill Simon? People believe Bill Clinton's lies.
