I heard Tom McClintock on KSFO this morning. He stated that he was the TOP GOP vote-getter in the election, showing the a conservative can indeed get votes (unfortunately not enough to win in this case). He got more votes than Bill Simon.

Although I think McClintock ran a decent campaign, he was running against a nobody.
