I have identical twin girls. One of them is very girly, and the other is more of a tomboy. The "tomboy" loves her big brother. She wears his clothes. She has even been caught standing up to pee (I don't really know how she does this).

I'm not really worried about either one of them. The tomboy one already says that she is "in love" with a boy in her class, and she wants to marry him.

My son hates sports. He's super skinny, and he is not strong and coordinated. I'm not really worried about him either. He does love the outdoors, and he is going to join the Cub Scouts. He also loves legos and computers. My husband was not into sports, and he is definitely a heterosexual.

I do know that my kids all at one time say things like they are going to marry their brother or sister or a good friend. I just point out nicely that you can't marry your brother or sister, girls don't marry girls, and boys don't marry boys.

I figure if you show them a normal male/female relationship they'll turn out okay. I also think that if you love and support your children, then they will turn out fine. Of course, my kids are only 6 and 8, so I don't know what they will be like in 10 or 20 years.

yes ... but make sure that your local school doesn't undercut all your good work by teaching them repulsive, unnatural practices and forcing them to "accept" the freaks who practice them.

"...She has even been caught standing up to pee (I don't really know how she does this)..."

When I was a kid I knew a girl who did that.

The first time I saw her do it was on an occasion when we'd all gone skinny-dipping and were walking back to the van.

I thought it was mildly weird at the time, but she was definitely not a lesbian.

Sounds like a recepie for success. I was small, skinny and uncoordinated, no good at sports and pestered mercilessly about being a 'homo', and I was and am crazy about women (my wife will vouch for me). In fact, while I was in the Navy I was seriously propositioned by a guy and I just looked at him in puzzled suprise and said, "Why? That doesn't make any sense." And walked away. Still doesn't make any sense.

I agree, with a couple of caveats: You also have to actively teach them what's normal, point out how much of our society is not normal, and keep them out of the clutches of the NEA and popular culture. And they have to have a healthy, loving relationship from their parents, especially from the dad.
