The governor's proposals are: Skipping the state's $500 million payment to a special fund run by the State Teachers Retirement System. So much for blind democratic support from the NEA. Now the king California 'rat is out to screw his most faithful donors. This state should be in play for GWB in 2004.

What a dilemna for Davis. The people who put in into office, the democrat voters elected him to raise taxes and keep all the social programs, they want the handouts. He could just stay with his voters and do that but then he destroys California even more.

This is some incredible stuff going on in California.
The governor has leaked a few smoke-and-mirrors budget cuts which don't even amount to a stinking 5% of the
$35 billion shortfall and there is already the wringing of hands and threats of legal action by the parasites and their advocates.
What on earth are the scumbags going to do about the other 95% of the deficit??
"Train wreck"? This is looking like a heckuva lot more than a "train wreck".
But it will only be a disaster for the Democrats and their parasite constituency unless a few spineless Republicans cave and let the scumbags raise taxes.
