Ruy Texeira and Michael Barone had a debate yesterday -- one of the questions that came up was whether the younger generation was more liberal because there was no Steven Colbert/Jon Stewart of the right.

Barone's best response was that Jon Stewart occasionally runs an anti-Democrat story.

But dang, there's been some funny stuff on this site. Surely someone could put together a news satire show appealing to young people -- maybe Fox News would air it?

FOX News already has one. It is called "Red Eye with Greg Gutfeld". Even though it is on at 3 AM eastern, it has better ratings than the PMSLSD line up on Prime Time and a few CNN shows as well.

The format, discussions and hot chicks in the "Leg Chair" blow Jon Leibowitz away.

Tamara Holder is an idiot libtard. There are way better looking women on Red Eye anyway; S.E. Cupp for example. Or tune in to The Five and catch Kimberly Guilfoyle in the leg chair. Both are easier on the eyes, better politically, and obviously a lot more intelligent than Tamara Holder.

Similar point - Charlie Cook said neighborhoods with a Starbucks are more likely to vote Democrat than their income levels would suggest. If there’s a cause/effect here it might be that the free community newspapers in coffee shops tend to have a liberal bent. I’m not sure how you’d jump start conservative alternatives though.
