Listen To The Call That COuld Have Saved The Cain Candidacy
WeArePolitics ^ | 12/7/2011 | Bill Knowles

I've got some flack about supporting former Speaker Newt Gingrich since Herman Cain's sudden departure from the race for the Presidency, but just because I have been so quick to move my support does not mean that I still don't feel that Herman is the best man for the office. Further, as you can hear below, the charges against him have been completely unfounded and certainly in this case, not true at all.

This call to the Roger Hedgecock Show comes from Biff Naylor, who, like Herman, was Chairman of the National Restaurant Association and was there when Herman was hired. There is no doubt that Herman is the victim of a biased main stream media assault as evidenced here and the one lone article about Naylor coming to his defense. Rest assured if this would have been another 'victim' making a charge against Cain it would have been broadcast worldwide.

When asked that question, “this guy” responded that he was talking to... and then he named off a bunch of publications, some of them supposedly conservative in nature.

Cain had the entire political establishment of the democrats and republicans and the entire MSM working against him. Nothing could have saved his campaign. Good men don’t run for president anymore because them and their families will be savaged by the establishment.

The scum rises to the top of our political system one way or the other. Show me a political failure and I’ll show you an honest politician.

Black lady calling into Rush today that wanted Cain.

Cain could have been a real vote getter.

No wonder the left wanted him gone.

Cain was the only man who could mount a serious challenge to Romney in Michigan and that 2 or3% of blacks that he could have pulled off the plantation could have made the difference in the general election.

Now we’re fighting over who gets to lose to Obama.

The only one who could have saved the Cain candidacy, IMHO, was Cain. If these allegations are unfounded (and I don’t believe them), say so and move on. Why leave the race? When you are faced with an enemy telling you to shut up... he just told you how to win... don’t shut up!

I’m tired of conservatives buckling under the MSM assault. If their charges are untrue, fight back! How does quitting in the face of the enemy help the country?

Herman was an inspiration to may people. He is a “people” person and would have had great appeal to those that the GOP never attracted.

Damn shame. I was sorry he dropped out. He could still win. Trump just said on FOX that he loved the guy. LOL

Unfortunately, many are not like you...or me. He saw his poll numbers drop. The ironic thing here is that the new frontrunner has confirmed lady history. Makes no sense.

geesh

I think his donors were all pulling out. the MSM goes after people’s wives and children and their donors. Also he sounded bad on foreign policy. so there, my two pennies.

Bachmann is my primary favorite but I was willing to vote for Cain in the primary because he could beat Romney. Now its pretty much pointless to vote in the primary. I’ll vote in the primary but it will be for Bachmann despite the fact that Romney will win.

Another thing that was overlooked is the fact that Cain was the only one who was campaigning in Michigan. Romney came to Michigan, stepped over the people and went right for the political elites and the cash register. I don’t think he’s spoken to a single crowd in Michigan other than that.

Its a grave mistake for the GOP to toss the midwest overboard again. We’ve made huge gains for the GOP and been ground zero for some of the biggest political battles of the past year.

Sometimes it seems like the GOP would rather have a whipping boy than actually take the ground.

We are pretty much on the same page. I will only vote in the primary to get rid of Richard Lugar. I don’t even have to explain that, do I? LOL

No one wants a citizen president anymore. They just like being snookered by lying career politicians who take sample polls and tell the voters what they want to hear. If Cain would have hired Bolton as Sec. of State, any knowledge deficiency on foreign matters would have been solved. What you can not solve is a RHINO mentality that is ingrained into a 50-60 year old man and that is what we have to deal with with Romney and Newt.
