While former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney take aim at each other, Texas Gov. Rick Perry is hoping to get in on the action with an ad that targets both rivals for supporting individual health-care mandates.
Trying to claw his way back into the top-tier of the GOP presidential race with only three weeeks to the Jan. 3 Iowa caucuses, Perry ties his rivals to President Obama in the new ad and the big government liberals.
We dont want government-mandated health-care, the narrator said. Yet, Newt Gingrich supports it, and Mitt Romney, he put it into law in Massachusetts.
The ad ends with President Obama signing his health-care law and concludes with Perry saying, I wont let the big government liberals ruin this country.

Private schools make THEIR OWN DECISIONS. The Governor cannot tell them what to do, or what not to do. It was the PRIVATE SCHOOL choice whether or not to require the vaccine, and whether or not to allow opt-out or opt-in.
Perry’s EO applied only to public schools. You can’t blame him for what a private organization decided to do (well, you can, but you might as well blame yourself, you are about as culpable).
Newt has shown many things, including a penchant for speaking intelligently and forcefully on both sides of a host of issues, leaving everybody to think he agrees with them.

“Im not basing my vote for a four year presidency on two hour-long debates.”
Unfortunately for your candidate, a fairly sizable majority of Republican primary voters are.
I watched the youtube linked at the top. I don’t have the best volume. Maybe I missed that part, but Newt was mentioned once. Nonetheless, I’ll watch it again.
I am serious about supporting a Newt/Perry ticket. You can check it out; I’ve been a Perry supporter from before his entry into the race. I think he needs a little seasoning now that I’ve watched him in action.
VP would do that and would set him up for 2016 or 2020.
Conservative ACTIONS speak louder than conservative words.
Not where left to go. Palin didn’t run. Tried Bachmann, no go. Tried Perry, no go. Tried Cain, no go. No interest in Santorum or Huntsman. Can’t stand Paul. Romney must be defeated. So, it’s go Newt, GO!! He’s the Romney antidote who can take the battle directly to Obama and win!!
Now you’ve gone from simply being wrong and misinformed to lying and making up stuff.
But that’s what happens when you get Newtered. But that’s OK. Keep supporting Newt as he supports Obomney Care.
And “Go Gingrich/Trump!”, right?

When Rick Perry Praised Hillarycare.
Trying to equate a school required-vaccination program with a health insurance mandate is both stupid, and makes a mockery of trying to stop Obamacare.
If we were ignorant enough to link “health care mandate” and “childhood vaccinations”, we’d do great harm to the effort to stop the health insurance mandates. I will note that NO COURT has ever ruled that government can’t have vaccination requirements, but several courts have ruled that the federal health insurance mandate is unconstitutional. That pretty much puts to bed the absurd argument that they are somehow equivalent.
The last thing we need is no-nothings confusing people about the difference between requiring people to have health insurance, and specific one-time treatments for specific illnesses. Nobody is arguing that we should throw out the Polio vaccine, and anybody who claims that it is an unconstitutional government mandate will rightly be laughed at.
I think you’re quibbling really. His intent was clear-to compel citizens to utilize a healthcare service/product. That there was a loophole that may have been exploited by a small handful of students is inconsequential really.
Perry had great potential but he blew it early on. Unless Gingrich suffers a giant Cain like collapse, doubtful Perry will have the time or opportunity to make up for his missteps. But Miracles do happen. Keep the faith. Meanwhile, I’m looking for a Romney killer first. And one who can and will take the battle to the enemy. Right now that looks like Newt!!
Newt is simply riding high in the polls. As of now. Big Whoop.
We are weeks and months away from the primaries. That’s where the action is. If Newt does OK and is not sidetracked by his affiliation with Donald Trump, then great.
But I’m predicting Perry will dominate the primaries. Especially in the South.
Here are some conservative actions: Newt did support Ronald Reagan and the Reagan Revolution. He did build a successful Republican majority. He did cut taxes, did reduce the deficit, did balance the budget, did block HillaryCare, did reform welfare, did allow us to reap the whirlwind of the Reagan economy. And he's an aggressive fighter who's unafraid to take the battle to the enemy even if it means stepping on a few toes!! Look it up.
We could use some of this kind of conservative ACTION right now!!
IOW, you don’t know. Thanks.

Well, it is a big whoop. And he’s leading Romney in most of the early primary states and crushing him the South. The rest of the field (including Perry) barely registers.
Survey USA Poll - Florida (Newt 45, Romney 23)
Survey USA Poll - Georgia (Newt 65, Romney 12)
Only three weeks until the early primaries.
Good luck. Perry’ll have to defrost up his thumpers.
Perry is the one true conservative in this race PING!
Please take me off your “ping” list. Thank you.
Don't know why you included me on your Perry ping list. I don't support him.
Newt supports ObomneyCare? give me a break.

Newt has the kind of fire and spirit to take the fight directly to Obama and the left and the determination to see it through to victory. He did it as Speaker and he’ll do it again as President!!
