Lots of candidates have embarrassing things in their past that they'd hate to have flare up in the middle of a presidential campaign. I think we can safely conclude that we have found Rick Santorum's! At the right, cast your eyes upon the tragedy that is Santorum's high school year book photo--specifically, Carmel High School in Mundelein, Illinois, in 1976. (The picture is from Chris Good's compilation of high school year book photos of the 2012 Republican presidential candidates--it's not pretty, although I recommend clicking through.)
A quick office straw poll here at The Atlantic, conducted amidst uproarious laughter, confirms that this is, in fact, the single worst year book photo that most of us have ever seen. An outright disaster.

The pattern on those pants is disturbing. It does, however, explain why Bill married her.......given where is mind is all the time, he was hypnotized.
Now THAT looks like mine! Except I had slightly more hair. I guess his high school used the same photog company since we wore those same awful tux coats and bow ties.
I've also noticed that whenever he runs a picture of Newt it's never a good one. I may be wrong, and perhaps this is old news, but I'm thinking he's for Romney.

She does look cute in that picture. Bill must have really worn her out, then she got all bitter and hard looking.
I think all the other candidates look pretty normal, and Zero looks pretty damn gay, especially in that collage of pictures.

Class of ‘77 here too... had me a white boy ‘fro about the size of Jimi Hendrix. Now it’s all seems to have migrated to my eyebrows.

That’s actually not bad. That was the hairstyle back then! Well, maybe less mullet looking! lol
It’s all about the American Idol ( worship ) presidential candidate who can speak the most elegantly, the best debater who can mop the floor of the rest of the candidates, who can “ WOW “ the people of his brilliance and excellence regardless of his character.

I think, like wives and children of candidates, high school year book pictures should be off-limits...
high school should be forgotten as soon as you graduate...
Only when I smile really big....which hasn’t been often in this political climate.
