To even imply that Newt’s successes and failures rise and fall upon the whims of Glenn Beck is silly.
Glenn is an American like the rest of us. He can endorse which ever candidate he pleases. However, I don’t think you are a regular listener to Glenn. He pulverized Romney last week and said many many positive things about Newt.
Glenn worked in Pennsylvania for many years and is good friends with Santorum.
You may be a n00b, but I’ll give you credit for standing your ground.
BTW - this is nothing compared to the whuppin’ I got when I joined during the Clinton years.
Up to about a year ago I found Beck very entertaining. Then gradually it started sounding a little canned, like intellectual spam. Beckery was becoming Beckism. It was like at any moment he’d announce there were levels of mastery and I’d be assigned a station with a number value...and have to buy a package of materials if I wanted to continue my progress.
So I bailed.
I don’t know jack about Mormons and don’t care to. That said, his political views may well have everything to do with Mormonism.
In other words, Beck’s a mountebank. Take him as such and know serenity.
I’m not crazy about either Newt or Romney. Both are seriously flawed, but what Glenn is saying about Newt can’t be disputed. Glenn is using Newt’s own words. Even the majority on FR who seem now to have a man-crush on Newt can’t hide the fact they could not stand the guy last spring when he threw his hat in. Remember the Newt/Pelosi couch photo on every Newt thread? What happened to those? We on FR in the spring of 2011 when Newt was in the single digits were pretty much saying the same thing Beck is today. Beck has remained steadfast on his feelings for Newt, it is we that have changed.
The one thing I think we all can agree on is that in this “most important election in our life time”, is that the A-Team decided not to run. Varsity is sitting in the stadium. The biggest sacrifice our favorite conservatives are making is to go on record with an endorsement. And if that endorsement is not for Newt, then we throw them under the bus.

Who is the White Horse?
The Mormons "will go to the Rocky Mountains and will be a great and mighty people established there, which I will call the White Horse of peace and safety." It doesn't sound like the White Horse is a single person, but rather all Mormons.
Beck, himself, did a decent job educating his audience about Constitutional issues while he had his Fox program and there are plenty of things happening right now that show various efforts to cut that barely a thread our Constitution is hanging by.
Perhaps Beck's moment, before he went over the edge, was to briefly ride that White Horse like Paul Revere to awaken Americans to what is taking place, contributing to the rise of the Tea Party? The sleeping giant (Red states = the "Red Horse"?) is waking up.
Besides, does Mitt Romney sound like someone who'd ride to the Constitution's rescue? He seems more like someone holding the knife and sawing away at the thread.

Beck, and I’ve heard his show lately and turn it off, is wrong on this one. For all his anti-progressive rhetoric his actions speak louder than his words.
Savy ...Beck listeners I think realize this. Santorum is a hanger on...Beck’s eggs are all in one basket.

Maybe there was more to that phone call he got and he’s doing his master’s bidding rather than suffer the consequences.
What is the problem: Glenn Beck is a MORMON, he is deeply devouted to the CULT and thoroughly deceived and that colors EVERYTHING.

Beck does not like Progressives, who are on both the right and the left, and may well run both parties.
Beck currently supports Santorum.
There are no people alive in this country now who know our government as originally intended and NOT Progressive.
I disagree with Beck on several things, but you’re not going to waltz in here as a newbie and throw down like this without my come back. Beck has put his money where his mouth is. He is a purist.
