Of course they are, but they may fear the possibility that an honest FBI crew and US attorney get involved in the investigation. I know the chances are slim with Holder in charge, but the mice may not want to risk being the token foil, if Senate Minority Leader McConnell demands one. ...Like in National Treasure: "Somebody has to go to jail, Ben."

Forgive my pessimism, but this will drift off into the void, IMHO. “We will be reviewing out internal procedures to ensure this unfortunate event does not happen again.”
There are NO “slim chances” with this administration. There are only gross, ham-handed bludgeon moves incrementally moving towards the deliberate destruction of everything we value. The left will demand the rings of Saturn and settle for the magnetic field of Mars. Then they will bring up the issue again, and move the ball further down into the next ring of hell.
