The privacy issues alone should kill it dead. Add in felonious ‘navigators’ and web hacks and you have gang grene.

And if Boehner does anything except introduce and pass repeal bills, he is as much of an idiot as Obama and the Dems, because once you try to "fix" this, you own it, too.

Boehner must have sent away for his free bottle of "Ageless Male" testosterone supplement. He just took a stand against the immigration reform stand, saying it's DOA in Congress.

Maybe he's starting to grow a pair. Hopefully, maybe they won't shrink back up into his body before he shows leadership on this, and digs his heels in.

I wonder if the Republican funded this mess including the IRS crazies? YES.

The Republicans need to remind Americans everyday that the Democrat Party passed this bill sight unseen and that not one single Republican voted for Obamacare. They should then vote for co,mplete repeal in the House every day.

The GOP message should be that trying to patch this complicated and arcane law would more than likely create more unintended consequences that would harm more Americans.

The best course is to repeal it in it's entirety; elect responsible people to start from scratch, and use the mistakes of the previous administration to get it right from the beginning.

Trying to fix this by patchwork is bad politics and bad policy.

If 1 Dem Senator voted against this we wouldn’t have it. Now 14 of them are whining about it because they are up in 2014. Let them twist in the wind.

What do FReepers think?

With regard to the idea of the GOP helping the Dems I'm probably in the minority but here is what I think:

Many if not most Dems and certainly the President are willing to let the American public suffer under Obamacare in order to preserve the Obama Legacy, whatever is left of it.

Many Republicans and most Freepers are willing to let the American public suffer under Obamcare in order to preserve the GOPs chances to win the Senate and hold the House in 2014.

I have a problem obviously with the Dems postion. But I also have problem with the GOP/Freeper position since it also results in the American public suffering.

Since I'm against suffering and against helping any Dem I believe that the GOP should offer the following "Help":

They should put forward the "Ted Cruz Memorial Obamacare Repeal Act of 2013". It's the only help the Dems deserve.

They should help the Rats by offering them one-way flights to North Korea or Nigeria. Deport them all to the hellhole they are trying to create here.

The American Soviet Party created this festering bolus of a law, so do not soil your hands trying to “fix” this rancid pile o’ feces. Do not give the Left any pretext for blaming you when this ramshackle mess flies apart. For the Social Democrats, “Bipartisan” means “political cover for us to blame our opponents for our errors.”

You have to pass it to find out what is in it.

Sounds like a stool sample to me.

The only way to fix Obamacare legally is to completely repeal it.

The way the law is written, all old health plans are or will be changed to fit under the guise of Obamacare. You can;t go back to the old plan, because they do not exist.

Repeal it completely or let the Democrats choke on their shit sammich.

Should Republicans Help Democrats Fix Obamacare?"

No. The Democrats passed this with no concessions to Republicans and no Republican votes. The Democrats own it. Republicans should repeal it -- all or nothing.

(excerpt) "Those who ask, “what is Plan B?” should realize there is no Plan B. There is no Plan B because Plan A is so sure-fire that the only option for the administration is to keep doubling down until Plan A works, which it must. That is the view of those able to see through the blacked out windshield. As for the rest of us, there is only the trail of wreckage in the rearview mirror."

Another true gem from Wretchard at Belmont Club.

They’re already trying to blame us for their mess when not one Republican voted for this. How much more will they to pin it on us if some of us try to help them “fix” it?

Just to answer the headline question, no, why help the democrats duct tape the Titanic?

Beyond that, it's a perfect time to talk about conservative forms of healthcare reform.

Any attempt on Republican’s part to “fix” this disastrous legislation is akin to trying to polish a turd. You may get it shiny, but its still going to be $#!%. They need to step away from the sinkhole and let the dems who did this fall in, allllll the way down. Then, when they regain power, pass legislation that allows people to keep their plans they were comfortable with, and addresses some of the faults the old system had. For instance, I don’t understand yet why health insurance can’t be like car insurance or homeowners’ - where an individual can shop for a policy that suits them re: premiums, coverages, deductibles, etc., and those who can’t afford that continue to go on Medicaid, with ironclad proof of lack of income (fraud prevention).

The author is playing inside the beltway BS. He even misspelled his own last name.

After reading this I’m convinced it’s Moron.

You’re falling into the inside beltway minutae.

The Dems lied and knew families would suffer so let them suffer. Maybe some of them will finally pull their heads out of thier asses.

Sorry, I don’t have sympathy for morons that voted for and believed idiots that created this turkey.

Repeal, Repeal, Repeal and Repeal again. In toto. OR, make sure the law is completely enforced for ALL with no waivers or exemptions.

Sure, good folks might get hurt but it’s unavoidable. Let the idiots in the country choke on their stupidity.
