I’m still trying to figure out why the Tea Party is considered a “far right” movement?
The basic appeals of the Tea Party is lower taxes and less government spending. Wow...what a bunch of radicals. The Tea Party should change the name to the Common Sense Party.

well. the left MUST label the Tea Party as “far right” which is to de-legitimize it, saying it over and over to make it so.
The dopes who continue to elect boo hoo bonehead types and Eric Cantor, McCain, et al plus all the “far left” dems, are also the ones who scare me.

Think about it, though. The Tea Party movement has been villainized and disparaged as racist, hateful, homophobic, antisemitic, violent and crazy for the last six years! So some stranger calls you on the phone and asks you whether or not you support the Tea Party? What are many people going to do? Tell the truth and be thought of as a nut and a bigot? Or lie to the person on the phone and then go about their business once they hang up? And how many Democrats and Independents did they ask? Doesn't say, does it?

Exactly.
People who want smaller, accountable government and adherence to the Constitution are considered “far right?”
Maybe only in the warped minds of the intolerant liberals.

‘far-right movement’...This whole left vs. right thing is so bogus. It is much more accurate to visualize any political philosophy as falling within a continuum between tyranny and liberty. When we do this the founding fathers and small government advocates occupy the liberty end of the scale while Communism, Fascism and strongman regimes occupy the tyranny end. American Progressives and the GOPe share in common a distinct disinterest in liberty.
