Author and broadcaster Tavis Smiley during the Kansas Conference on Poverty on Friday spoke out about Gov. Sam Brownback’s budget and called for a 2016 presidential debate that would focus solely on poverty and income equality.

“Budgets are moral documents,” Smiley told a crowd gathered in the Sunflower Ballroom of the Capitol Plaza Hotel, 1717 S.W. Topeka Blvd.

He said Brownback gave tax breaks to the “rich and lucky” and “cut K-12 education.”

“The tax cuts are a good sound-bite politics but unsound policy,” Smiley said.

He also said what Brownback has done to the state is “shameful.” Education is the “last thing we need to be cutting,” Smiley said.

“It’s tragic,” he said. “I think what he has done is shameful and disgraceful. What is happening in Kansas can’t be replicated across the country. I can’t find any good argument for what they have done in this state.”(continued)

Poverty? We don’t have a problem with poverty in this country. In fact, we’re importing it now so we’ll have some to remind us of the good old days.

He’s in the upper reaches of the pantheon of race hustlers, right below Al and Jesse.

What poverty?
Lyndon Baines Johnson ended that,
with his Great Society program, didn’t
he?

Tavis Smiley stating a business’s budget,
is a moral issue, shows he is a Communist.

We should start that debate now, and hit the left over the head with it.

I should’ve used the /s tag when posting the question. Seems to me that Smiley is yet another race activist who has worn out his welcome with his one trick pony, and is rapidly becoming irrelevant.

Which he has always been to the world at large.
