The overload of coverage over Barack Obama‘s tan suit has led to some unexpected consequences: Rep. Peter King (R-NY), called into The Steve Malzberg Show to rage about how “trivial” the summer suit was.
Summer suits, according to Rep. King, are not appropriate garb for talking about terrorism or ISIS, and especially when the President says he doesn’t have a strategy to deal with the resurgence of terrorism.
“For him to walk out — I’m not trying to be trivial here — in a light suit, light tan suit, saying that first he wants to talk about what most Americans care about the revision of second quarter numbers on the economy,” he seethed. “This is a week after Jim Foley was beheaded and he’s trying to act like real Americans care about the economy, not about ISIS and not about terrorism. And then he goes on to say he has no strategy.”
Maybe we, the media, have covered the tan suit too much. Maybe the joke has spiraled out of control on Twitter. Maybe, by talking about Obama’s horrendous sartorial choices, we inadvertently turned it into a commentary of his character, much like Gerald Ford became notorious for falling over things, or George W. Bush was inexplicably tied with his penchant for making up words.
Nah. Let’s write more bad suit puns.

My problem is with the crusty blue jacket he puts on whenever there is a crisis that calls him off the golf course. The one he wore to talk about ISIS and the one he was forced to don when Osama was taken out.
There is a strategy, in everything that boy does, but it does make him look darker.
Obama actions are the ones of a tyrannical central government that our forefathers were deathly afraid of. That is the reason that The Constitution is a document that defines the many limits on Federal Government. It also defines the rights of our citizens. Any powers of the Federal Government not defined in The Constitution are the powers of “each respective state.”
Obama’s number one enemy is Constitutional Law of Government.
Why does Peter King get so much attention? Every time I see that loudmouth on FOX or CNN I change the channel.
Yeah, he wears that blue jacket when he wants us to know that his leisure time has been interrupted by having to do his job.
The strategy of shiny objects. He makes this straw man of his suit so everyone will say “what trivial things they complain about”.
The only reason Peter King jumped in is that “R-NY” translated as “liberal Democrat” in a free state. “Forget that he’s an anti-American dictator wannabee and just look at his suit.”
And no, I don’t think it looks good on him.

I’ve been following Homer J. Simpson’s 70 years ago today WWII threads. There were real leaders, serious people addressing serious problems. In contrast to feckless fool in the White House who resents it when he has to do his job, interrupting his golf and fundraising.
