However, what you say does not correlate with political reality. I've been active in politics, probably longer than you've been born, and since 1976 Conservatives have always been more motivated to vote (crawling over broken glass) than the Dems. That's why low voter turn-out always benefits Republican candidates. BUT, HAVING SAID THAT.... what you say might hold true, this go 'round, b/c the Dems realize they are in trouble and, the do have the best "ground game".

I think that since the GOP controls most State Houses and Governors' Offices, they should pass laws limiting Early Voting to 3 Business Days" before Election Day. What pisses me off the most, and my greatest fear re: "Early Voting", is this: Down here in SE Texas, the Dems but Early Voting Stations inside Convenience Stores in the hood; for real.
