A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.....

You make some very valid points, Cheerio, and they are well taken. However, we are NOT a Democracy in this nation. We are a Constitutional Republic; big difference. Jesus said: "The poor you have with you always." (Mark 14:7) Mitt Romney called them "the 47 percent" who will always be around and never vote Republican. So, we have to do one of three things:

1. Get used to it.

2. Elect people to office who have the 'nads to make receiving Entitlements unpleasant. (Like random drug testing for recipients as one example.) and who know how to create jobs and put people to work or......

3. Ignore them and hope they go away and in doing so, remaing the party out of power in D.C. from now on.
