The most conservative may not be the most qualified. Frankly,I have been hoping John Kasich will get in. I do not like the idea of a 40-44 year old Pres. That is young.

Sometimes you have to make a choice if you don’t want to end up dead. I just don’t think we have the luxury, nor did we, of not doing whatever it takes to keep the enemy out of power.

The problem is that you can’t just run anyone you guys want and win elections, and berating conservatives for not liking your guy indicates that you want to just keep demanding that everyone get in line with your politics, rather than look at what you are doing wrong, or that your politics might be wrong.
The Republicans should stop backstabbing, smearing, undermining and attacking their own Conservative base.
If they spent half the energy attacking the Democrats they’d have a lock on every election. Of course they’d have those annoying Conservatives forcing them back right of center.

I am a female and we, I think more than men, have to make continual judgements about people for our own safety. Zero was an obvious disaster who turned out to be way worse than I expected.
When I married at 16 the groom and I went to a jp, just the four of us, we brought another couple as witnesses (this was back in the age of negative Wassermans etc.). We looked like we were getting married, suit tie, dress, gloves and heels. There was an old age home next to the JP’s and as we went in there were the typical “aren’t they cute?” shouts and calls. As we left, the started shouting “Suckers! You’ll be sorry!” We cracked up laughing.
And that is how I got to sleep with the man I loved at his mother’s summer home that night. Surprised them all, we did.

The names that the enemy uses are legion: feminism, fascism, social-justice, socialism, liberalism, racism, redistribution-ism, state-ism and egalitarianism to name but a few. Many of the GOP are just shills who present a weak defense to ensure that there is no real opposition to the march of liberalism. They oppose a robust defense as too radical so that they can lose with moderation, every time.
There is no economic liberty without family, there is no defense if liberty is not defended and there is no peace while millions of babies are murdered for female votes. You think Obama was the enemy, but you find W's surveillance state acceptable. You may oppose obama-care, but it does not pass without the help of Boenner and the bizarre ruling of Justice Benedict Stevens.
At some point you have to hang the traitors no matter what uniform they wear.
The republicans need to win new voters by explaining conservatism to them, but instead they oppose conservatism and constantly fight and attack their base.
When a Reagan or a Palin, or a Cruz comes along who can fight for new voters and effectively deliver the conservative message, the GOP tries to kill them off, rather than try to help them bring in millions of new, formerly apathetic voting people.
The left fights hard to increase turn out for liberalism, and they are succeeding with many of the most ignorant and apathetic people in America, the GOP seems to fight to kill off interest in non-voting Americans.
Sometimes they make even my positions so boring and colorless, that they bore me.
The GOP seems to be threatened by energy and passion and enthusiasm, and their reaction is to kill it off before it can catch on.
The tea party is the movement that politics dreams of, the kind of thing that sweeps nations and changes everything, that changes the future, yet what has been the single, most dedicated goal of the GOP for the last 6 years, a desperate struggle to kill it.

Agree. We have seen what not voting because a number could not go with either McCain or Romney helped enable. No more progressives please. We are in end times now.

Nothing wrong with women being treated equally...but the “right” to murder your baby because “it’s a private choice between you and your doctor and what you do with your own body” HELLO...there is a 3rd body involved!!! This is where the “feminists” leave me. I draw the hard line with anyone who doesn’t agree that abortion is murder and should be stopped - period.
I am fully aware that many of the GOPe are in cahoots with the rats...they put on a little play of who should be in power this time while the whole time they just take turns in destroying our liberty. I believe this is why Sarah was destroyed - she would have upset their charade and their personal gravy trains.
Regarding socialism - there are many “socialist” countries in Europe - they pay high taxes and get lots of services. This seemed to work well until they started importing 3rd world welfare recipients who “don’t pay their fair share” My brother in law is Dutch - from a fine family of good people...his dad defied the Nazi’s and narrowly escaped death. He had many harrowing stories of courage that is more than most of us here will ever have to find within ourselves. So I don’t really brand socialism as anti-Christ - the problem is, IMO, overall it doesn’t work as well as the self-incentive required in democracy.
Social justice, etc. is just a scheme to empty other people’s wallets for a vote buying scheme.

There are plenty of enemies. What is your opinion of McCain urging the IRS to target Conservative groups? Do you count him as an enemy?
