The two reasons Sen. John McCain will not stop ridiculing Ted Cruz and Rand Paul

Sen. John McCain, the man that gave us President Barack Obama by running the most anemic, ineffective campaign in modern history, has decided to constantly interfere in this election cycle, demeaning any principled conservatives in favor of establishment Republicans that share his failed ideological viewpoint.

McCain’s recent comments in regards to Sen. Ted Cruz and Sen. Rand Paul, both of whom are running for the Republican nomination for president, are clearly indicative of his desire to give his best effort to destroy any and all principled conservatives that dare challenge the establishment wing of the Republican Party.

According to an article about an interview McCain gave to The Hill, the establishment GOP’s favorite outlet to demean and smear conservatives, he mocked Cruz for a statement Cruz made in a stump speech about “pressing” McCain to hold hearings on the topic of allowing troops to carry their weapons while they are on military bases. McCain is the current chairman of the Armed Services Committee, and Cruz is a member of that same committee.

The Hill reported that McCain responded to a question about Cruz’s statement by saying, “You know, I was fascinated to hear that because I haven’t heard a thing about it from him. Nor has my staff heard from his staff,” a jovial McCain told reporters late Monday. “Where did that come from? I have not a clue.” He continued, “Maybe it was through some medium that I’m not familiar with. Maybe bouncing it off the ozone layer, for all I know. There’s a lot of holes in the ozone layer, so maybe it wasn’t the ozone layer that he bounced it off of....

McCain and Paul disagree about foreign and military policy.

With Cruz, it's personal -- and reciprocated.

But this may help clear up a little:

Ted Cruz: ‘May Have Misspoken’ About John McCain

...

On Fox News Tuesday morning Cruz kinda-sorta admitted he’d been wrong about pressing McCain specifically, though he didn’t concede much more than that.

“I may have misspoken in New Hampshire when I said that I’d been pressing John McCain when what I had been pressing is the Armed Services Committee,” Cruz said. “John McCain is the new chairman of it. So I sent a letter to the previous chairman, but I had not communicated that to John directly, although I had at a hearing and will continue to raise it with John McCain.”

Cruz added that McCain had “been present” at Armed Services Committee hearings when he had pressed the issue.

McCain is an un-indicted co-conspirator with respect to Benghazi and supporting ISIS terrorists in Syria and he knows it. That’s why he keeps throwing mud at Cruz.

#1. Senile old fool?

I must protest the age-ism!
McAnus was a senile young fool long before he became old. He was also a drunkard, a brawler, a skirt-chaser, an often slightly AWOL, messy disgrace of a Naval Officer, and perhaps the all-time worst airplane driver ever seen in US naval service.

The NVA did the Navy a favor by keeping him for a while. However, they also made him famous. Had he not been captured, he would be long retired by now with perhaps the rank of Lt. Commander. Last TDY: XO of the Mess Kit Repair Facility in 29 Palms.

As an oldster myself and former sailor, I agree. Seem to remember him also causing some damage on the flight deck once as well as losing an aircraft. I don’t believe he was a traitor like stenographer of state john f’n kohn-heinz-kerry was and is, but he doesn’t have it all together either. Skirt chaser like jf’nk and certainly married up to mo money.

......some damage on the flight deck

Fair's Fair! McAnus had nothing to do with causing that catastrophic Foxtrot Uniform on the Forrestal flight deck. In fact, his filmed escape from his jammed-up A-4 was his most noteworthy Naval accomplishment!

OTOH, every time he landed on a carrier he did some damage! Remember this was the guy who was frequently lost ... over the Chesapeake. He also may hold the coveted Navy Award as an "Enemy Ace," that is single-handedly destroying 5 or more American planes. Scorers still figuring that one out.
