If those two ran and won, Im moving to Bora Bora. Seriously.
The reason I say if it is those two it’s 2008 all over again is that your response above resembles, at least in spirit, what I DID in 2008. I bought a small farm in central KY two weeks before the 2008 election and I thought McCain was going to win! I moved there in 2011. I had lived in Seattle for 45 years prior to this.
It changed my life in a myriad of VERY good ways, not least of which is that I feel I’ve pretty much done most of what I can to mitigate the damage when the collapse comes, though It just may be a slow moving train we are all already on.

Remember when it was absolutely certain that it was going to be Hillary vs. Rudy Giuliani? Why do we even bother to read people’s ignorant predictions anymore?
Hillary got sideswiped by a cooler, more leftist candidate the last time, and it could happen again. There’s still time for him to emerge from provincial obscurity before the primaries begin.

Hilary vs. Jeb? I think a lot of people are going to just stay home on Election day if that pans out.
Me among them.

Big buzzkill, that.
Is there some way that the machinery of nomination and election can be sabotaged, and NOBODY gets nominated, or elected. It would throw the selection of Maximum Leader wide open once again.
I say, dueling pistols on the Washington Mall. May the more ruthless win.

Certainly possible, 2DV. Rove and the boys still run the party and make the rules. The rules are ‘heads I win; tails you lose’.
The msm, including FOX, will be only too happy to do the obligatory hit job the GOPe deem necessary to cut whomever off at the knees when the time comes.
The only way Jeb won’t be the nominee is if we all decide on one candidate and get behind him or her in a big way. Of course if Cruz or Walker or Fiorina or Palin or someone goes rogue and runs third party - that’ll energyize millions upon millions. But it seems no one has an appetite for it.
In short, a Bush-Clinton race is likely, unless we make a huge, concerted effort to drag our candidate across the finish line.
