Fifteen years later, Trump was interviewed by a pro gun guy/group and he says AR-15s are covered by the 2nd Amendment. I’ve read his son who owns guns and ARs have helped him change his viewpoint.
Last year, Trump attending a NY Anti-SAFE Act rally:
“I’m a big Second Amendment person,” said Trump before a crowd of about 3,500. “I’m a big, strong believer in it … I wanted to be here to support you. I’ll be with you no matter where you are.”
“You have the constitutional right to keep and bear arms. You have that right and they want to take it away,” Trump continued. “And they are taking it away, slowly but surely, they are taking it away.”
The event was designed to protest the NY SAFE Act, the sweeping gun control law passed in the wake of the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, as well as the man behind the law, Gov. Andrew Cuomo.”

Can we trust Trump on what he said? What’s the score on politicians keeping promises so far? Most of the gun control efforts have been class-based and group-based so far. They peck away from the fringes, inward, and from the bottom, up. That’s how they eventually surround those who believe themselves to be superior and immune.
Have you seen some of the fears of those most influential in politics? Gun control advocates are not mainly after low income people on food stamps, divorced/separated men or criminals. Among other things, they’re preparing for a laid off, well armed, angry middle class. The default process continues.
Walker is the only one who has a record of cutting spending on those who suck up the most to the most influential political folks—many of those lesser politicos who lend numbers to supporting gun control for now.
