You noticed that, eh? You have to admit, my proposal solves some social problems. If the community can tolerate it, train well, with discipline, and mobilize, deploy, and fight effectively then what that militia unit will accept is up to them. Of course the “old way” of evaluating these things would have to go. I saw a guy from a DC guard unit that had been “ready to go” for 5 years when Desert Storm II kicked of that was just south of 300 lbs. obviously all of his evaluations were false.
I got to train “sub-standard” Airmen as a secondary duty in the USAF. Some wanted/appreciated the help, the others were completely useless.
