Rand Paul’s father Ron does not appear to be among the over 100,000 donors so far to his son’s presidential campaign.
According to the younger Paul’s recent Federal Election Commission filing, the elder Paul, a former Texas congressman who himself ran for president three times, has yet to donate to his son’s 2016 presidential campaign — at least not more than the $200 threshold where his donation would be required to report. Rand’s mother, Carol, does not appear to have donated her son’s campaign yet either.
In contrast, the other Republican presidential contender with a storied political family, Jeb Bush, has received the maximum allowable donation of $2,700 from both his father, former President George H.W. Bush, and his mother, former first lady Barbara Bush.....

I don’t get it. If the story is meant to impugn Rand Paul and elevate Jeb Bush, I think it has the opposite effect.
Where is that claim made?
It’s implied. This isn’t obvious to you? It’s about planting the seed that something’s “off” here. Why even write it otherwise?
Ron Paul doesn’t believe in a fiat currency and the current monetary policies. He is a principled man.
His money is all tied up in gold and silver futures.

If he’s a principled man, the lesser evil crew just got them a new convert. Me.
No danger of either being the case though. I’m neither anti-semitic, nor crazy.
