Salon.com's Joan Walsh reacts to the Bloomberg focus group with Trump supporters in New Hampshire, saying she "feels sad" for them because "they really don't have a firm grasp on reality."
"I look at those people and I feel sad," Walsh said. "That is really such a low common denominator. They're all Republicans, they're all not going to go vote for him but they all seem to see this wishful thinking."
Host Chris Matthews couldn't help but laugh at Walsh as she was talking.
Former chairman of the Republican National Committee Michael Steele hit back at Walsh on Thursday's broadcast of MSNBC's Hardball. Steele said Walsh's comments will be viewed as representative of the "elite media."
"Your high brow is looking down on my low brow," Steele said to Walsh. "You are somehow better than me."
"I don't think I'm better than them," Walsh protested.
However, she went on to bash Trump supporters once again, saying "they're not thinking."
"Joan, your comments relate that way and that's the problem," Steele responded. "When people hear that, whether it is from the media or Republicans in the party, they go, this guy. As the woman said, he is speaking to me. I may not agree with everything he's saying but he is one of us. He is a billionaire but he's one of us. Your comment, Joan, does not come off as you're one of us."
"I'm so much more one of them than he is," Walsh retorted. "I was not born to wealth. For God's sake, Michael."
Walsh would later tell Chris Matthews that "we" were "wrong about Trump."(continued)

I don’t feel sorry for Trump supporters, their guy is kicking ass, taking names, and coming back for more all the while enjoying golf at his own resort in Scotland. He has all the money he needs and does not need to beg, and every time he is criticized by the elite jackwagons, he gains more in the polls. What is there to feel sorry about?
