“I fight like hell to pay as little as possible for two reasons. Number one, I’m a businessman. And that’s the way you’re supposed to do it,” Trump said in an interview with CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “The other reason is that I hate the way our government spends our taxes. I hate the way they waste our money. Trillions and trillions of dollars of waste and abuse. And I hate it.”

BOOM! Exactly what everyone does and thinks but what no politician has the guts to say.....

This is exactly what Mitt should have said [and didn't] when they were making such a huge issue of his wealth and whether he was "paying his fair share."

Your "fair share" of taxes is the minimum allowed by law. Period. If Romney had just said: "Neither Harry Reid, nor Barack 0bama, nor anyone else in this country pays one more dime in taxes than they absolutely have to unless they're stupid, and neither do I," The issue would have died. But, like all GOPe-er's, he made himself look guilty for being who he is.

I think the reason Trump is resonating with Republicans is a lot bigger than the fact that he's made a connection on one or two issues. His comportant goes to something much more fundamental. It seems to far too many of us that our putative "representatives" are ashamed of what they are. I'm not ashamed of what I am. I'm not ashamed of who I am. I'm fed up with people trying to make me feel that way.
