Candidates don’t have security other than what they themselves provide, unless and until they garner the party’s nomination. They get SS protection then, OR earlier if there are viable threats against the candidate’s life.
I think Hillary! as the wife of a former POTUS has SS protection (tho, apparently, former VPOTUSes don’t. Go figure)

I don’t see a lot of caveat emptor being practiced in this instance. Not at all.

As well they should. He, along with all other democrats - he’s no independent - have been on the wrong side of race relations since the party was born.
This is the unintended consequence of the democrats’ economic enslavement of blacks in this country and feeding them entitlements for the past 50 years. It was inevitable for them to develop their own subculture and rise up to bite the hand (or in this case, country) that fed them, whether we agreed to the policy (like liberals) or had no choice (like the average taxpayer).
Just goes to show: give these people everything they want, and pretty soon they’ll be attacking you for everything you have.
Trump’s numbers and support indicate he is no joke. You need to get past the GOPe mindset. Like him or not, he cannot (and will not) be that easily dismissed.
His numbers reflect name recognition and the joy at a bomb thrower, nothing more.
I don’t have a GOPe mindset.
I want to elect a conservative who would be a good leader: Ted Cruz.
I have no interest in a liberal who whisper pretty things in my ears.
